As ransomware attacks rise, Illumio will showcase how organisations can stop breaches from spreading across the hybrid attack surface.
Illumio, the Zero Trust Segmentation Company, has announced its participation at GITEX Global 2023. With a specific focus on breach containment, the company will showcase how Zero Trust Segmentation (ZTS) can help organisations stop the spread of breaches and ransomware and improve cyber-resilience.
Despite record spending on cybersecurity, the Middle East continues to experience more frequent and devastating breaches. According to IBM’s latest Cost of a Data Breach Report, the annual cost of a data breach for organisations in the Middle East reached SAR29.9 million in 2023 – the highest in 10 years. The hyperconnectivity that comes with rapid Digital Transformation in the region makes organisations increasingly vulnerable. Attacks continue to break through perimeter defences and move, often undetected, to access critical assets and infrastructure.

Microsegmentation is now recognised globally as a necessary and effective approach to reducing the impact of cyberattacks. According to the recent Gartner Market Guide for Microsegmentation, by 2026, 60% of enterprises working towards a Zero Trust architecture will use more than one deployment form of microsegmentation, which is up from less than 5% in 2023.
