iGA showcases Digital Transformation projects at GITEX Global 2025

The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) is highlighting Bahrain’s leadership in Digital Transformation and innovation at GITEX Global 2025 as part of the national pavilion organised by Tamkeen.

As part of the Bahrain Pavilion, organised by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) will exhibit its latest initiatives at GITEX Global 2025.

The participation will also include the Economic Development Board (EDB), ARRAY Innovation and 14 Bahraini ICT SMEs. The Bahrain Pavilion will highlight the iGA’s latest projects at Hall 20-A10, showcasing its leadership in advanced government eServices, use of emerging technologies such as AI and cloud computing, and focus on knowledge sharing and innovation. These efforts reflect the iGA’s commitment to enhancing government operations, partnering with the private sector and positioning Bahrain as a regional and global ICT leader.

The Bahrain Pavilion is at Hall 20-A10 and features 14 Bahraini start-ups and SMEs from across the ICT sector, in addition to the Economic Development Board (EDB) and ARRAY Innovations. Participation in GITEX Global is seen as offering Bahraini enterprises a valuable opportunity to showcase their projects to global visitors, helping them expand their customer base, connect with potential partners and investors, explore growth and expansion opportunities and exchange knowledge with international experts.

This contributes to the sustainability, productivity and growth of these businesses while also strengthening their impact on the national economy and enhancing their capacity to generate quality employment opportunities for Bahraini talent.

Bahraini companies achieved notable success at last year’s edition of the exhibition, as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion attracted significant interest from visitors. Additionally, seven agreements were signed between participating Bahraini enterprises and regional and international companies.

Tamkeen’s support for Bahraini companies taking part in GITEX Global 2025 aligns with its 2025 strategic priorities, which focus on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with suitable skills for career development, and prioritising enterprise growth, digitalisation and sustainability. The initiative also supports the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labour market and private sector.

The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has confirmed Khaleeji Bank’s support as a Gold Sponsor for the ‘Technical Innovators’ initiative, which sponsors information and communications technology students from Bahraini universities to participate in GITEX Global 2025.

This initiative aligns with the bank’s strategy to nurture the energy of Bahraini youth and encourage them to explore global technological experiences. It aims to refine their skills and inspire innovative solutions that strengthen the Kingdom’s position in the digital sector.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in technology and present projects in artificial intelligence, financial technology, data analysis, cybersecurity, and application and platform development. The experience will enhance their visibility in the tech industry and broaden their future career prospects.

Sattam Algosaibi, CEO, Khaleeji Bank, said: “We are proud to be part of an initiative that places Bahraini youth at the heart of global technology events. We are confident that their participation in GITEX will propel them toward greater innovation and creativity and help prepare national cadres to lead the Kingdom’s Digital Transformation.

“At Khaleeji Bank, we believe that investment in youth is investment in the future. Our sponsorship of initiatives that grant our youth exceptional opportunities to learn, develop, and engage with world-leading experts and technology leaders reflects this commitment.”

Rashid Al Snan, Chairman of BTECH, said: “This sponsorship models exemplary collaboration between the banking and technology sectors. It represents a vital step in supporting Bahraini youth, giving them space to showcase their skills and contribute to the future of the digital industry.”
